Mint KYU GUNTO NAVEL SABER SWORD
Mint condition KYU Gunto Admiral's sword kept in incredible original condition. There has been controversy between myself and other experts as to whether this sword was used as a navel admiral officers blade, a ambassador's blade or perhaps a presentation piece given by the Imperial Academy to one of the top graduates. The blade is a presentation piece with a full tang toting the original unsharpened metal. The handle has NOT been removed. The sword was discovered to have gold plating after having been inspected by a custom and antique jeweler as well as others. He served in the pacific war front. Both the Vet before and myself have kept this sword in the condition it is in. Blade: Blade is a command presentation style blade with a full tang that's unsharpened with the navel admiral's koshirae style similar to Admiral Togo's. Condition: The handle, blade and even scabbard are in immaculate condition with some small gold plating coming off the handle. The original ray skin covering the handle is in presenting condition as well.
The original peg holding the handle on is also present. The small screw behind the handle is also present. The original rope/lanyard/sword loop is in pristine condition. Note: The latch on the guard that locks the handle to the scabbard works perfect.
